Plague & Immunity
Any province, including Undead, can catch plague. Immunity prevents penalties and throne display but does not prevent carrying or spreading it. Spread occurs through both attacking and defending.
Undead normally Always Carry and are Immune to Plague, invisibly holding it, ignoring its effects, and spreading at the base rate (X). All other races that contract plague — and Undead in ages without Always Carry — spread it only at the reduced rate (Y), which lowers transmission frequency but not plague strength.
Effects of Plague
- No Population Growth
- −15% Income (applied as −15% Tax Collection in the formula)
- −15% Defensive Military Effectiveness
- −10% Offensive Military Effectiveness
- -10% Prisoners each tick
Cure Mechanics
- Nature’s Blessing: 33% chance per cast to cure plague, and every tick it is active.
- Hospitals: Daily cure chance (~3% base), scaling with BE, up to 75%.
- At 100%+ BE, 25% Hospitals = max cure.
- At lower BE, more are required.
